Please read these terms before using geekAneeze materials or our website. By using this site or our materials, you agree to them.
geekAneeze provides educational materials that teach consumers how to request, read, and understand their own consumer reports and specialty consumer files, and how to exercise their rights under federal law.
We teach. You do the work.
We are not a credit repair organization. We do not perform credit repair services. We do not dispute items on your behalf, contact consumer reporting agencies for you, or take any action on your file. Everything described in our materials is something you do yourself.
We are not a law firm. Nothing we publish is legal advice. We do not represent you and no attorney-client relationship is created by using our materials.
We are not a financial advisor, credit counselor, or consumer reporting agency.
We are not affiliated with LexisNexis, any consumer reporting agency, any credit bureau, or any government agency. We reference these organizations only to explain how the consumer reporting system works.
We make no promise about any specific outcome. We do not guarantee that:
You will find errors in your file
Any dispute you submit will succeed
Your credit score will change
Any application you make will be approved
Any specific benefit will result from using our materials
Results depend on your individual circumstances, the accuracy of your files, and decisions made by third parties we do not control.
By using our materials, you agree that:
You will provide truthful, accurate information in any dispute or request you submit
You will not use our materials to attempt to remove accurate information
You will not use our materials to misrepresent your identity or circumstances
You are responsible for your own decisions and communications
You will comply with all applicable laws
Submitting false information to a consumer reporting agency may be a violation of federal law. Our materials teach you to identify and challenge information that is genuinely inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable. They are not a method for removing information that is correct.
We never request, collect, or store your Social Security number, date of birth, account numbers, identification documents, or copies of your consumer files. You should never send us this information.
If you send us sensitive information despite this, we will delete it and will not use it.
Our materials contain affiliate links to third-party services. If you purchase through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
We are not responsible for the products, services, pricing, billing practices, or conduct of any third party. Your relationship with any company you sign up with is between you and them. Review their terms and pricing before purchasing.
All materials we provide, including the DIY kit, checklists, templates, written content, graphics, and the geekAneeze name and mascot, are our property and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
When you receive our materials, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own purposes. You may not:
Resell, redistribute, or share our materials
Publish our materials publicly or post them online
Create derivative works or repackage our content
Use our name, logo, or mascot without written permission
If you participate in the Founding 25 or another beta program, you receive materials at no cost in exchange for providing honest feedback. Feedback you provide may be used to improve our materials.
If you provide a testimonial, you grant us permission to use it in our marketing. We will ask before publishing anything that identifies you. You may withdraw permission at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the testimonial from materials we control going forward.
Our site and materials link to third-party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
Our materials are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that our materials are error-free, complete, current, or that they will meet your needs. Consumer reporting law and agency procedures change. Information accurate when published may become outdated.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, geekAneeze and its owners, members, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of our materials or this site.
Our total liability for any claim relating to our materials or this site will not exceed the amount you paid us, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold geekAneeze harmless from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your use of our materials, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
